Hmmm... now what do you suppose I would be doing with 3 crusty, old windows? I have had these windows for years. They've quietly waited in the garage, outside in the dirt, and are currently loitering on the side of the house. For all the potential they have, I'm afraid I haven't been very kind to them. But their time is coming...
Very chippy, as you can see. Quite a bit of that paint is going to have to go... I think it's actually begging to be gone... but I'm going to keep as much as possible. All 3 windows still have their glass panes, though 1 pane has a crack.
Three different windows... three different possibilities. What could my deviously creative mind possibly be cooking up? Oh don't worry. Just eat your Ruffles and drink your diet Coke and stay tuned. I've got these covered :)

Cannot wait to see what you do with them!
My FIL built my MIL a greenhouse and used these kinds of old windows to light the building.
It turned out fantastic!

Can't wait to see what your brilliant and creative mind comes up with! :)
Had I known you wanted to be crafty with old windows, I would have sent you my old ones when we replaced them last summer - LOL! Can't wait to see what you come up with this time. No doubt it will be GENIUS!
Thanks for all the sweet comments you left on my blog...appreciate it!
The similarities between us never end. I have an entire section of my basement full of old crusty windows!!!
It was my dream to build a garden house out of lots of windows...don't know if that will ever happen. Maybe I can wheel my wheelchair into the pea garden floor when I am 80.Ha.
I don't like Diet Coke OR Ruffles so I drink some more coffee while I anticipate your creation to soon be!
Hey it's Liam! Great blog, thought I'd share with you what I did for emily with an old window for her Christmas present:

I put lines from one of her favorite poems on there as well as a picture from inside my house looking out at our tree, because one time she said that no matter what it always looked pretty outside that window.
Maybe people with crusty windows have a lot in common. I have 3 crusty windows in my house: One without any panes. I just hung it on my wall as is and taped photos in the openings right on the wall. Another one is leaning up against the wall, waiting...
I'm sure you'll inspire me to do something better. :-)
Now, I'm curious on what you're going to do with those 3 windows. Let me guess, are you going to paint those with rainbow colors and display it inside your house? Painting those windows with different colors is quite popular, you know. Another thing is to restore these windows and install them in your garage or kitchen.
Hi Roslyn - I hope you found what I eventually did w/ the windows! But if not, check it out here:

I have to add though, now that it's been well over 3 years, I'm ready to do a NEW project with these windows! Guess you'll have to check back! :)
Thanks for your comment! :D
